Perhaps stories are spirits
that live in our world.
The creative are born with
the means to hear them:
in dreams, in sunlight,
in waving goldenrod, and
in all the places in between.
Then we transform what we hear
into poetry, novels and art.

Note: I found this goldenrod blooming near the White Mountains, Vermont. The very air was full of stories.
“After nourishment, shelter and companionship, stories are the thing we need most in the world.”

Perfect. I agree completely. Some of us are born with the stories playing in our minds. Love this.

It was a beautiful park, near Rutland, VT, with a creek, a swimming hole, a disc golf course and woods. I walked up the creek a ways with my kids.
