When my spirits sink,
I give a saucy wink
and don’t overthink,
because soon enough —
I’ll be in the pink.
My surgery is done,
and while it wasn’t fun,
my healing spell is spun,
and I’m glad not to be
back at square one!
Notes: Salmon-pink dahlias sweeten my last summer days. Their magic isn’t just for me,
they shine for all of you — but especially for those in recovery and for those newly back
in the PINK!! Woo-hoo to Michelle Marie, who’s recovered from a broken back, and her daughter who’s walking again! It makes my recovery from surgery feel minor, but I’m feeling in the pink, too. I never turn down a reason to celebrate! Join the party if you have a reason to celebrate, too.

Great poetry and love flower photos. I want to use some of your photos to sketch and then paint on silk. Hope you don’t mind.

You are bright pink most times anyway! Those are some of my favorite flowers. Tough and sturdy — just like you! Take your time recovering and let the poetry flow!

Thanks, Claudia! I’m imagining myself bright pink most of the time and clashing abominably with my hair. LOL

I’m not a pinkie either with my Auburn hair, but I’ll make an exception for pink flowers!

Thank you! It was too bad I lost so much of the summer, but I’m happy to be well in time for fall.

So glad you are in the pink. I lost track and thought you were on the mend, sorry about this lack of communication on my part. This was such a lovely shout out, too. I dropped by Michelle Marie’s posts to wish her well and healing.
Your photo of your daughter while 4 years old was precious this summer, Brenda. ❤

Smiling has to help us heal. I hope you are smiling, too. I feel better every day, too. But I still don’t have the juice to stay up late and blog. Zzzz
