Trip-trap
along the path
finding dust,
twigs, bees
and green
dappled light
betwixt the trees.
Sun blinding
then hiding
then dancing in
leaves. Once,
twice, a sneeze,
for pollen is thick,
breathing quick.
A stumble, a bumble,
a laugh in treetops.
It passes too fast.
I wish spring
would last.

Note: Summer is upon us, with its burning sun and furnace heat. Yay for swimming! Hope you are finding joy each day.
Thanks for sharing this, I enjoyed the Spring theme. I have just started a poetry blog here on WordPress in case you have time to have a look? Wishing you a sunny day, Sam 🙂

Such a pretty lilac flowers among all that green! 🙂 And spring does seem to pass so quickly…perhaps because we enjoy it so much?

Perhaps you’re right, and it’s our perception that is the downer.

Isn’t that a beautiful spot. A bank of flowers, a path and trees to frame the sun.

I miss spring now we’re in the blast furnace. And mid-drought. So much money going into watering things. Where is the rain?

I love the rhythm and rhyme of this poem! It’s such fun to read aloud and I’m delighted with the word, betwixt–that’s one we all need to use more! Thanks for sharing an enchanting walk and the wonders of spring.

Thanks, Molly. You are a dear to come by even though it’s not Friday. 🙂 I love that word, betwixt. Another word I don’t want to disappear in our acronym society. 🙂
