Tulip Dreams

IMG_3250

Tulips gossip downtown
in streets curved in frowns.
Too many people
walk dogs, legs lifting –
tulips don’t want a drink,
of that kind, I think.

One tiny tulip bud
bursts from the mud
and dreams he’s a bird
arrowing through clouds –
he sees the stars
and circles Mars.

Petals are wings,
so fast, a raindrop stings.
Soon he chases bees,
no more waiting –
he brings bees
to their knees.

  1. Lovely images and conversations! We spent so much time signing a petition, setting up a gun registry….all to remove it…it irks me so much yet perhaps we will still keep ours in Quebec. Although it is easier in US to purchase and I see the danger…big money is blocking this rather than logic. Good luck with the petition.
