Lilacs are pink,
lilacs are blue,
with help from dad,
kids grow up true.
When times are tough,
fathers are the glue.
When kids need you,
you come through.
Let’s visit the zoo and
then fire up the barbecue.

Note: Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, stepdads, granddads, some-of-the-time dads, all-of-the-time dads, serious dads and fun dads. Here are some flowers instead of some doo-dads. A special Happy Father’s Day to my dad, my father-in-law and my hubby, long-suffering and lovely as they are.

Happy belated Fathers Day to your hubby Brenda!! 😀 It’s funny how we have different dates for Mothers Day, but the same one for Fathers Day. I went in a real bookshop on Saturday, I could barely move there were so many people in there…then I remembered ‘Fathers Day’ was Sunday. It’s normally lacking in people now that everyone seems to buy books online. Thank goodness for mothers and fathers day..and Christmas. The book shops would never survive without them!
I love your lilac pictures, they are always so pretty, and do smell wonderful…like honey perfume!! Did you have that barbecue?

We actually went out for Japanese food. My hubby loves Asian food. 🙂

Ah, I’ve thought about trying Japanese food, we have a few Japanese restaurants. But not sure if I’d like it – I’m a bit nervous going to a restaurant that doesn’t serve French fries or chips – in case the main menu is not to my taste. I like a variety of healthy food, but can be a bit of child trying something new! 😀
