More numerous than
stars in the sky,
and burning just
as brightly,
our teachers help us
learn to shine,
find our way,
know our strength,
feel connected.
They touch our lives
for a brief time,
and leave us changed.
Forever.
Thank you.

I didn’t know it was! If you’re a teacher than thank you. But I love the picture. I taught someone today! 🙂

I’ve taught in the past, but I’m not teaching at the moment. 🙂 Yay, you taught today. Then you shine!

Beautiful poem! I’d love to find and thank my sixth grade teacher, Mr. Riley. He inspired me to follow my passion for creative writing, and told my mother he looked forward to seeing my name on the cover of a book one day. Moments like that really shape who a kid becomes.

Yes, and they remember us, too. Maybe you’ll find him one day.
