Turning Circles

IMG_2259

heart-shaped spots,
sun spots
flit, flutter and dance
as we fly across
mountain ranges,
forest groves,
rushing rivers,
wildflower meadows
we circle enchanted cities,
magically avoid traffic,
laugh with friends,
gaze at Chesapeake Bay,
love Cape Charles, VA,
and turn circles in
DC

Note: I’m on vacation with my kids, and we plan to visit DC for a couple days. Woo-hoo! Reading posts will be challenging. If I can, I will. This is my poem for NaPoWriMo today. I already miss my quiet, reading and writing life. What a homebody I am. Have a magical week!
