You should sing the blues,
but your music’s too sweet,
and far too long awaited.
Ah, your beauty’s a treat.

Note: This song is one of my favorites. My poem is a little love song to spring. I wrote to scilla last year, too, nearly to the day. I saw my first wild butterfly of the year today, as I sat outside soaking up the sunshine. A white cabbage butterfly winged past me and vanished. I’ve written about them before, too.
Lovely. Blue is my favorite color. 🙂

I’ve always loved Greensleeves, it’s beautiful melody!♥ I can still hear my brother (as a teenager) playing it on his treble recorder. You really have been celebrating spring with your poems!!! What lovely blue flowers too – are they bluebells? They look a little different to the ones we get in Britain.

They are scilla not bluebells. And yes, I am celebrating spring.

I love that music. You felt like you could breathe between thoughts. So much of modern music is so frenetic.
