cares folded
their power is transformed
peace grows
Note: A mantra is a word, phrase or sound used to focus the mind during meditation or prayer. I wrote the first draft of this mantra when I read a poem by Advocatemmmohan. My family loves origami, the Japanese art of paper folding. We folded the cranes after enjoying leftover birthday cake. Happy International Women’s Day! I’m celebrating by meditating on peace, an important women’s issue.
I like the idea of cares being folded – and peace! 🙂 Clever you with your origami, and a great picture of those paper birds too. I’ve never done origami – don’t know why, just never have got round to it.

I’m told a crane can be turned into a dragon with a few more folds. Although a crane is hard enough. 😉

As long as it doesn’t learn to breathe fire!! 😉

That would be a bad move for a paper dragon. Possibly a story there…

What a wonderful hobby as a family…so contemplative Brenda…and quite magical✨💕✨

It was magical, requiring our focus, our intention, and our very breath to fill it up and bell it out.

The act of folding them was a peaceful, focused and mindful act. Very soothing and rewarding. 🙂

The spotty crane looks fantastic. When you meditate on peace Brenda, it’s an important issue for both sexes. We both need it now if not sooner.

I could speak these words with every crane i make, if I knew how that is ☺️

It was both harder and easier than I expected. The folding was hard, but the meditative aspect was made easier by how much focus the folding required. I felt more calm and centered afterwards.

I made the pink one. My hubby made the one in front and the two blue ones were by my eldest.

very nifty. I’d end up with a ball of paper 😉

It’s cool. You fold and fold, and then you blow it up, and it puffs out. We all had to make two to get one that looked crane-like. 😉

So beautiful. I wish we could do something with that idea. All make cranes and place them in stores and on bushes, with the word PEACE on their wing. 🙂 Lovely post Brenda.
