Our oldest love, our first love,
Unfolds with our own birth,
Grows as we take our first steps.
The love that makes us children again.
We love you, Mom!

I liked how my photo came out. 🙂 That tree has no flowers left. That moment is gone, but my photo lives on. There is magic in that.

Hello Brenda!
Our childrens are surely the most precious treasure we have! these little tyrants:=)
Caring for my son & loving him unreservedly — has been a sort of revelation to me. Being around him every day is also an opportunity to know myself better. He wrote me a few letters on Sunday. I was simply crying. I still have them on the table… and they will stay there for a long, long time!
ps
I did prepare your recipe! wonderful inspiration! thank you!

Beautiful thoughts for Mothers Day, and Cherry Trees – my absolute favourite tree! 😀 Your poem made me think of my next door neighbours, they had their first baby six months ago, so that little one is yet to take their first steps with their Mum and Dad. But it had it’s first cold very recently – poor little thing, I heard it coughing and keeping Mum and Dad awake most of the night! She sounds like a very good mother – good mothers are very precious. I tweeted my rose image for Mothers Day, with a tiny micropoem – so you can have this one as you are a lovely Mother – Happy Mothers Day Brenda – hope you’ve had a good day!!♥ https://twitter.com/SuzyHazelwood/status/597429411596623872

That is lovely, Suzie!! I agree, a rose is a perfect flower to symbolize the love of moms. My son gave me a card that made me cry. This is what it said on the front: “You are the finest, loveliest, tenderest, and most beautiful person I have ever known, but even that is an understatement. — F. Scott Fitzgerald.” I might cry again now. I’ve had a great day!! XOXO

Yeah! I only had about two minutes when my daughter ran off to try to say something new about a subject given a thorough yearly airing. I didn’t succeed, but at least my heart spoke. 😀 XOXO
