Stomping, Tromping

IMG_3957_2

Snow in the air,
Snow on the ground,
More in my hair,
Falls all around!

Snowballs packed tight,
Kids laughing and hiding,
Forts left, ice castles right
Tiny tots slipping and sliding.

Tongue sticks out far,
Nothing hits it, no fair!
A snowflake, like a star,
Lands coldly right there.

Ah, how we love the snow,
Sledding, flopping, tromping,
Love when the drifts flow,
Plowing, tunneling, stomping.

  1. So the snow arrived eventually? Your little ones must be excited! Got caught in some snow shopping for shoes the other day. Lots of big flakes of snow, but I was so relieved the pavements were wet, no chance of it settling. When I was little I would have disappointed with my adult thinking! 😉

  3. Magical isn’t it? It seems like everything turns into a fairyland. I love the star looking snow! It does look like tiny stars and I love this photo and all your poems! Big hugs to you Pink Brenda!

  4. such a delightful poem, Brenda. you made me feel the winter energy and youthful happiness that blow in with a snow blitz. it’s good to think like kids because most look forward to the snow play but adults are like, “OMG, let me go out and empty all the store shelves for supplies!!!!!” cheers!
