Snow White Seeds

Aster Seed Pods

Winter Queen Snow-White,
Reigning over gardens past,
Spreading seeds near and far:
Tiny spin-drift wind-sailing
Sprites, tiny bits of last year,
Carried through cold to the next,
Come fill my garden with purple,
Amber and russet possibility.

  1. Ahhh, the magic once again happens when I step into your world, Brenda. Beautiful image and beautiful words, ones which I send to my gardens as well. Happy New Year, my friend!!! (((HUGS))) Amy

  2. I am so glad you shared this poem about the asters snow white seeds and love the way you included the colors of asters, too. I usually think of lavender or purple, but you are so right, russet and amber are also lovely colors. I like to imagine their seeds growing up into the flowering plants.

  4. I love that last line: Come fill my garden with purple,
Amber and Russet possibility. So many different hues of possibilities in life, aren’t there? 🙂
