Winter Queen Snow-White,
Reigning over gardens past,
Spreading seeds near and far:
Tiny spin-drift wind-sailing
Sprites, tiny bits of last year,
Carried through cold to the next,
Come fill my garden with purple,
Amber and russet possibility.

I am so glad you shared this poem about the asters snow white seeds and love the way you included the colors of asters, too. I usually think of lavender or purple, but you are so right, russet and amber are also lovely colors. I like to imagine their seeds growing up into the flowering plants.

They were a variety of colors, and I am hoping they seed well. 🙂 They have gone to seed in glorious fashion.

Yes, indeed, and the more colors the better, in my garden. I know some people do wonders with all white flowers or all red, but I love every color. 🙂

🙂 I wish you lots of color in the New Year then. I think I would go crazy in a beige house with beige furniture and beige walls. Maybe I’m crazy anyway, but I keep the being down to a minimum.

I mean the beige should be down to a minimum. Sigh.
