Frog was completely alone! Toad was worried: was Frog sad? Frog answered: “I am happy. I am very happy. This morning when I woke up, I felt good because the sun was shining. I felt good because I was a frog. And I felt good because I have you for a friend. I wanted to be alone. I wanted to think about how fine everything is.”
— Arnold Lobel, from Days with Frog and Toad, Alone
Today the sun was shining,
Breeze and sense of ease, entwining.
The frogs were swimming,
All the world was grinning.
Dragonfly fairies danced,
The scent of lilies entranced.

Frog and Toad were my favorite book series when I was a child. It explains so much about my personality, in retrospect. Love the quote, the photo, and the poem. That story brings me back.

I love Frog and Toad, too. It’s so peaceful. I got a picture of the little frog today, and it reminded me. 🙂

That’s so sweet. I sort of love frogs. I bought a painting of a frog from an artist named Inocente this year.

The hubby and I have a frog thing. We collect frogs. We have a frog playing violin in the garden, for instance. 🙂

I used to have a golden frog Buddha meditating that my mom bought for me at IKEA. When I don’t fawn over frogs, I collect owl and cat stuff…and elephants…and alpacas. Ok, I just all animals, really.
