Shining brightly, for all to see,
Father flower, right there nightly,
Strong and steadfast, ready to enfold,
With love, his children he beholds.
Happy Father’s Day to my hubby, father of my three children, my own father and my father-in-law. And Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, on the good days and the bad. Parenting can be a bumpy road, but this is for the dads who keep going, day after day, making bad days better and good days great. We all need our fathers as much as our mothers. Blessings, Brenda
I hope Fathers day was a great success Brenda! Everyone makes such a fuss over Mothers day and not so much for the Dads, but I always saw those days as equal – Dad got his special treats too. It was lovely even only a few years ago before my dad died he still lit up when he got our cards and presents – lovely memories too! 🙂

I am in too much pain this weekend to do much writing. I hope my back recovers soon, and my spark reignites. Right now, things seem a bit dull.

Im sorry to read this, Brenda. I don’t have young children at home so I can think of just me when I’m ot working. Hope you are getting some form of treatment for your discomfort. You are always such a positive support and an amazing writer. Sending you (((((hugs )))))

I’m usually in some form of bad pain. I had surgery three years ago, and it’s been a hard road. This weekend my back was in worse pain than usual, though. Harder to ignore. I’ll get past it. I always do. Thanks for your kind words. I feel my stories, burning to be written. I guess my body just needed me to take a break. Hugs back! Brenda

Oh poor you!! Perhaps you can tape them, so you are getting some of that oomph out of your system. I take ideas sometimes when Im walking to work.

I thought the picture was ‘precious’ and the words you chose: exactly right! Wonderful and it would be extra-special for our family, since my grandkids’ grandpa goes by the name of “Poppi!” (My first husband his third wife chose, “Mimi and Poppi,” as their nicknames! Smiles and have a wonderful Father’s Day, Brenda!

Robin, I have heard Poppi as a nickname for dad or grandpa before. That was partly why I picked the poppy. I hope you have a great day with your family. We were gifted here with perfect weather. 🙂 Have a great week ahead, too. 🙂 Blessings, Brenda
