The fairies have been busy.
Under the deepest snow,
They have sprinkled vernal equinox sparkles,
And everywhere spring is springing!

Brenda, I know a ton of folks up north are going finally!!!! I know that for me it was when the Crocuses poked their heads up and out, even if there was snow still on the ground. That was the greatest sign. I know the rest of the flowers would soon be showing their heads at the proper moments. Thanks, Bill

Bill, First the crocuses and then the forsythia…. I look forward to that, but we aren’t there yet. Alas. This year they are predicting that everything will bloom together because it was cold so late. Allergies will be bad. I look forward to it, though. 🙂 Take care, Brenda

Yes, gorgeous to my winter-weary eyes. 🙂

How strange that you are longing for green grass to appear. It’s the same over here (or is that down under here) in southern Australia where the grass is beginning to green up after the long summer dry . I hope you aren’t in the part of the USA that is being hit by the spring blizzards – they look very cold

They warned us snow was coming, but all we got was a bitter, howling wind. No shoveling! Yeah!! It’s still really cold today.

This is so perfect in its simplicity of color and message, too.

No doubt they have been! So many bad things were detoured away, I feel sure. You haven’t seen any bear-trolls, have you? See? 🙂

The spring has started? Does it usually come during this time of the year? 🙂

Yes, the official first day of spring was March 20, but weather-wise, it can come anytime in March or April. 🙂 The bulbs and birds are the real geniuses. They always know.

Nice 🙂 We are having horrible, hot summer here; for us March-April-May = bad 😀

I have a stumper today, I think it must be a tulip, but I’m not sure. It’s tightly furled, red on the ouside of the shoot and green on the inside. It’s circular, coming to a high point at the back, and curving symmetrically down toward either side. Hosta can come up like that, too, though, and it’s not my yard, so I have no idea what it looks like the rest of the year… I’ll have to wait and see. 🙂

It does sound like a tulip to me too. Have you got a photo of it? If not let me know what it is when it comes up! 🙂 x

Thanks! I was so happy to see those little green shoots, three separate walks in three separate directions were needed to find them all. 🙂 And we are supposed to get snow tonight! Augh!!

I had to look hard for the signs. And they will probably be covered by snow again tonight. These are bulbs well used to it, though.

Didn’t show up after all, just a cold howling wind. That seems minor after the winter we’ve had. 🙂
