You know, I’ve never had chestnuts. Can only image. Chestnuts over an open fire strikes me as romantic. Love the photos.

Glad you liked the photos and took the time to say so. I was quite surprised to still see chestnuts hanging from a tree this time of year. The other photo, the medley of chestnut leaf and nuts was from the fall.
I like chestnuts, I used to find them as a kid. The shape is a bit like a worry stone, and it fits nicely into the palm. Somehow they seem carefree to me now, a symbol of happy walking.

Even though it’s too hot for roasting chestnuts here in Australia for NYE, they did make it into many a turkey stuffing, I’m sure 😀 Happy New Year, Brenda!
