That´s some beauty, I hope one day in my life it would snow like that in Spain, or at least in my town. The bird flew away? No wonder the poor thing was freezing.
Brenda, I am sure the partridge will be back soon and bring you joy. But my heart goes out to your husband, god I hated shovelling snow. And when I moved south to Florida, I left my 3 snow shovels in the garage for the new owners. Now when I see a snow storm attacking my friends up north, I kinda sigh and giggle at the same time, knowing the worst I am dealing with is a wind chill of about 57. But in time spring will sprung, and that a beautiful sight that will be. Take care, Bill
I don’t disagree with anything you say. I ruptured a disk and can’t shovel anymore. Luckily my boys are old enough to help and they do cheerfully. They love to sled, build snowmen, tunnel, etc. It’s is great when you’re a kids, but I moved away from snow once, too. I didn’t miss it.
Great photo! I can’t blame the partridge for escaping to warmer climes. I know that I’d like to do so . . .

Shoveling.. Why not just leave it there. Does the city do that stuff?

HA ha ha ha ha! Um, no. They do the streets. We do the driveways and sidewalks. They have the big machines. We have the shovels. 🙂 LOL

Oh… If it snowed like that here. This area would come to a complete stop.

Yes, the big machines are pretty important. Dallas came to a standstill and they didn’t have much.
